EDIT: Better with the tiny watermark like this? Anyone got an opinion on watermarks?

I asked my friend what to draw, and she said "A jackalope... basically just a rabbit with horns and sometimes wings"... or... at least... that's the part I remembered

Not sure if this is a proper jackalope, but at the very least it's my version of a jackalope. :iconsadtruthplz: And... yeah... didn't really use a proper ref... so the anatomy's funky... i know .___.

Another watercolour, finally... It took FOREVER! Mostly because I started over after I'd gotten the first version about 75-80% done... but it was too ugly :tears: I like this version better though. Still not completely happy with it, but it's getting there (sort of ) and it was basically all a big experiment....... The original picture's about 20.5 cm by 25 cm. (I NEED PROPER PAPER!!! I kept scraping the top off this one... you know, where it gets all pilly... I know.. PAPER... pilly <.<)

The next one will be better! I promise!!! :iconnoesrevampplz:

This is a really lovely image. Your colouring is very well done and the watercolours really compliment the nighttime scene.

Like you mentioned in the comments, the anatomy is a little off, which for me is a shame as I think it would look lovely as a slightly more 'realistic' drawing.
Although the style at the moment is really nice and gives it a very illustrative feel.

The colours work well with the complimentary yellow and blues creating smooth lights and shadows. I'm not sure whether you lost a bit of colour when scanning in since it might benefit from increasing the black/white levels ever so slightly.
Making the hole behind the jackalope a bit darker would probably help to make it stand out a bit more, although if it were too dark it would distract a bit.

Also presentation-wise it would be worth cropping off the very edges as you can see the edge of the paper at the moment. It just makes it look a bit more polished.
